I am in Stow-on-the Wold

Cho-----saborimashita! to update my fotopage! I am now in Stow-on-the-Wold (Cotswolds) working for an English family. Mr. & Mrs. Clark & their family members are very nice and kind I am happy with them and am enjoyed everyday-work here. Stow-on-the-Wold is just about 25min from Oxford by train but here is the very beautiful countryside. Yesterday was their grand daughter, Jasmine's 3rd birthday so I helped her birthday party. Jasmine is an absoluuuuutely lovely girl!!! (left: her mum, Miranda, front: grandma Wendy) Tomorrow is going to be a big day, as they will have Easter lunch party! Hehehe.... it is a job but actually I am really enjoyed being with them!

Play back part 1. (An artist’s Gallery in Angel Meadow/ 14 Feb.)

My poster (Angel Meadow-shape)
My classmates enjoyed eating my poster

As a good architecture student, I always carry my sketchbook with me to make sketches when I come up with new ideas! Hehehehe---- it’s my idea of the perfect Kaoru but the reality is that I usually sketch after making big presentation boards, which are desperately done the night before the presentation!!! Hehehe….. This is the part of my sketchbook in which I am planning my artist, Jamie Oliver’s poster for the promotion of his gallery. Yes, it is my project, an artist’s Gallery in Angel Meadow!! You know what!! Architects should be really artistic coz you might also be asked to design graphics, furniture products and literature for a building!! If you are bubbly character, it would be perfect!! Anyway, my poster can be eaten, as it is a great deal of advertisement of Jamie Oliver and his gallery. I was cooking some from his recipe, which was very tasty, and I created my poster completed just 2hours before presentation! In my presentation, my critor (critic + tutor) was Tak, who is a rare Japanese guy has a scathing tongue. (I haven’t heard his proper sentence in Japanese…..maybe he is English maybe.…) Anyway I didn’t expect his crazy laughing of my poster. But it was a great relief for me who was very shy and was scared to present in front of people! Nyahahahaha……See my classmates absolutely enjoyed eating my poster and I recorded how they ate it!

Ps, Oh, thanks Adam, your tutorial was really really helpful!!!

i want dumplings too..yummy.look so delicious.next time,dont do poster.do a banner.a much bigger one.ok..!!
gambatte.

Last night, I was extremely lucky to join the lecture, Patrik Schumacher, Zaha Hadid's design partner!!! Yeah, I was really looking for it and arrived there 1hour early to get the best seats!!! Hehehehehe..... It was a great day for me as an architecture student. In the morning, I studied 2 architects' work; Aldo Rossi and Hugo Alvar Henrik Aalto in the history class then had own research time in the computer room. Oh my goodness!!!!! Edouard Francois, my tutor, Ana gave me his name and URL. http://www.edouardfrancois.com/ It is Great!!!! Cho----Nice!!! It is absolutely fantastic information to help my idea development in my design project!! Thanks Ana!! Finally, I reached Patrik Schumacher's lecture so how nice it was!!! This is their part of practices into a new phase with major new projects completed or nearing completion. The lecture was a bit difficult for me but there were so many impressive works on the screen. I love their work I love the style of their construction, sooooo DYNAMIC and POWERFUL!!!

well, the normal lectures are boring...so its understandable if i fall asleep...but come on!!! people dont sleep during lecture given by someone important who works in "zaha hadid architects"!!! i win Kaoru..i win Sat 25-Mar-2006 00:06
